Notes

Strong thematic fit with WFBA’s mission. The Trust’s stated priorities include:

The outreach workshops and Year 4 school brass teaching programmes map well against both priorities. The emphasis on community-building through music also aligns with WFBA’s cross-age offer.

However, two hard blockers prevent application in 2026:

  1. Must be a UK-registered charity — WFBA’s registration is pending
  2. Must have audited annual accounts — a new charity won’t have these for at least 12 months post-registration

Grant size (£500–£8,000) is realistic for a first application. The fact that grants are unrestricted for charities with income under £250,000 is attractive.

Eligibility evidence

UK registered charity required; audited accounts required. Grants £500–£8,000. Annual deadline in June for small charities (income under £5m). Source: doylycartecharitabletrust.org/apply-for-funding, checked 2026-04-20.

State history

2026-04-20: set to parked — identified in April 2026 scan; two definitive blockers prevent 2026 application. Strong fit for 2027 cycle once charity registered and accounts filed.
